Point of reference, site specific; bussola, cement; 2016

City of Sao Paulo is a place of enormous scale and constant decay, change. The concrete landscape covers the horizon.
It is very easy to get lost while walking on the streets.
The work is an attempt of reversing the logic of big scale.
It is the smallest intervension, a point in the ground which refers to the whole territory around it.
It is a sign left in the city landscape.
It was constructed in order to erode with time.
I fulfilled the missing part of the pavement with cement and placed a compass in it. Couple of days later I came back to the same place.
I learned that the compass was stolen.
Work was made during residency in Pivo gallery,
Sao Paulo, Brasil.
