The film questions the modern rituals with a spontaneous game. Rite of passage is a specific ritual that suppose to reestablish one’s identity as a transformed member of society. As with every ritual the canonical steps ensure the transformation and the success. There are strict rules to every single part of a ritual.
The main question for us was who set the rules for a modern-day Europe. And is it possible to meet the requirements and become a member of this new world? What administrative rituals are we encountering in our time on that way? In a child-like game we try to put our hero - the Visitor - in a ritual-like situation with one of symbols of the new order, the Frontex agency, that in a way has mandate on granting identities.
